In blepharitis, the eyelids get inflamed. Its symptoms include tearing, burning, itching, and swelling, crusting of the eyelids, or blurred vision. It can be caused due to infection in the oil glands, other infections etc. It can be avoided with good eyelid hygiene and frequent cleaning and light scrubbing. It can be treated with antibiotics and ointments.
